Western Serbia's dive sites are freshwater lakes and reservoirs set in mountainous terrain, with all entries made from shore. The region spans a wide range of depths and suits divers from beginner to advanced. Valjevska Gracanica is the standout site, where a submerged church and cemetery form an unusual overhead environment; visibility there is variable but can reach fifteen metres, and water temperatures drop sharply with depth. Zaovinsko Jezero, sitting at altitude, offers the deepest diving in the region and requires adjusted decompression planning. Freshwater jellyfish, sturgeon, pike perch, catfish, and carp are among the species recorded across the sites.
