Šumadija's two dive sites, near Kragujevac and Knić, are freshwater lakes suited to beginner divers entering from shore. Šumaričko jezero is a shallow artificial reef site used primarily for training, where visibility frequently drops to near zero and rarely exceeds two metres; a torch and compass are essential. Gružansko jezero is a muck site with depths reaching over thirty metres and similarly variable, often poor visibility. The species list includes brown trout, pike, catfish, pike perch, and freshwater jellyfish, but conditions here are defined by low visibility rather than wildlife encounters.
