The Farasan Islands form a remote Red Sea archipelago designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. All seven sites in our database are boat-only, and operators depart from Jizan. The diving covers reefs, walls, drift sites, and an artificial reef, with depths from seven metres to forty metres. The cooler months from October through May are generally considered optimal for conditions. Water temperatures stay warm year-round, rarely dropping below twenty-seven degrees Celsius even in the coolest months, and climbing into the low thirties from May through November. A shorty or light wetsuit covers most of the year. Several sites carry moderate to strong drift conditions, so intermediate and advanced experience is required at the more exposed offshore walls.
