Coron Island in Coron Bay is one of the Philippines' most varied dive destinations, combining WWII-era wrecks, brackish inland lakes, limestone caverns, and open ocean reef. Kayangan Lake and Twin Lagoon are brackish water sites with haloclines and dramatic underwater limestone topography, while Barracuda Lake is known for its layered thermocline and halocline within limestone surroundings. Siete Pecados and Alcatraz are drift-capable reef sites in the channels between islands. Depths across the area span from very shallow snorkelling to over forty metres, and sites are suited to beginners and intermediate divers. Fifteen operators are based in Coron Town.
