The Quirimbas Archipelago offers reef diving across two distinct sub-areas, Vamizi Island and Ibo Island, each with its own character and site density. Boat access is universal, with sites ranging from shallow beginner reefs such as Les jardins de Babylone and The Finger through to deeper drift, cave, and cavern terrain at Tunel and the pinnacle structures of Ponta do Diabo. Green Sea Turtle and Napoleon Wrasse are consistently encountered across the archipelago, while Whale Shark and Humpback Whale are regularly observed. Scorpionfish, Giant Moray, Bluespotted Fantail Ray, and Day Octopus round out a diverse resident cast.

Water temperature stays warm through the austral summer months, easing slightly through the cooler mid-year period before climbing again toward year-end. The best-months data points clearly to late autumn through mid-spring as the favoured window, when conditions are more settled and visibility tends to improve. Sites with drift and exposed wall topography, such as Tunel and Ponta do Farol, are more current-dependent and reward timing dives to the tide.

Wall diving is available at Dolphin Playground and Ponta do Farol, while Tunel adds drift, cave, and cavern elements for a more varied experience. Ponta do Diabo features pinnacle topography alongside reef, making it a standout for intermediate divers seeking structure.
