A good number of sites in Fulidhoo are rated beginner level, including Munko's Garden, Farukolhu Kandu, Kudiboli South and Green Reef. These tend to be shallower coral gardens or gentler reef slopes. The channel pinnacles such as Kudiboli Thila and Fulidhoo Caves are rated advanced due to strong currents and greater depth, so less experienced divers should discuss conditions with their operator before attempting them.
The vast majority of sites are boat-access only, which is standard for diving in this area of Vaavu Atoll. A small number of sites, including Fulidhoo Caves and Kudiboli South, offer the option of shore entry as well. Multiple operators are based here or run trips to the area, so finding a boat departure is straightforward.
Drift diving is central to the Fulidhoo experience, with channels and current-swept pinnacles making up a large share of the site list. Thilas (submerged pinnacles) such as Bureki Thila, Coco Giri Thila and Kuda Thila are particularly characteristic of the area. Reef slopes, drop-offs and a cave site at Fulidhoo Caves round out the variety, giving divers a broad range of topographies within a compact area.
