Kuching's dive sites sit in the South China Sea off the coast of Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, and boats depart from Santubong. There are two sites in the database: Satang Island, a shallow fringing reef within Talang-Satang National Park suited to beginners, and the Katori Maru, a World War Two shipwreck resting around seventeen metres deep some fifty kilometres offshore. Visibility ranges from five to twenty metres across the two sites, and water temperatures are consistently warm throughout the year. The best season runs from April to September. Marine life across the sites includes pink skunk clownfish, snake eels, spotfin lionfish, and chromodoris nudibranchs.
