Diego-Suarez (Antsiranana) sits at the northern tip of Madagascar where the Indian Ocean meets the Mozambique Channel. The two sites in our database, Lepper Island and Fantastic Island, are both accessed by boat and cover reef and drop-off terrain, with depths from the shallows down to twenty-eight metres. Both are rated for beginner divers and offer visibility typically between ten and thirty metres. Water temperatures are warm through much of the year but dip to around twenty-five degrees in July, August, and September. Diving here is less developed than in other regions, which translates to smaller groups and lower diver traffic.
Fin maps 2 sites in Diego-Suarez (2 scuba diving sites and 1 snorkelling spots, with some suited to both).
