The sites grouped around Kuwait City in the Arabian Gulf cover three distinct dive types: a shallow shore-entry reef, a wreck, and a combined artificial structure and natural reef at the naval base. All three are rated for intermediate divers, and depths extend from five to thirty metres. Visibility at the wreck and naval base sites typically runs between ten and twenty metres, while Cuttlefish Reef can drop much lower due to currents and traffic. With fifteen operators based in and around the city, this is the most accessible part of Kuwait for organised diving.

Visibility is generally better during the cooler months, and most operators run their busiest schedules from October to April. A full wetsuit is recommended through winter.
