Bangaram Atoll lies in the Lakshadweep Sea, part of the Arabian Sea, and is reached by flight to Agatti Island followed by a boat transfer. All diving here is by boat. The sites range from shallow hard coral reefs suitable for beginners through to walls, canyons, pinnacles, and drift dives demanding advanced skills, with depths spanning from just a few metres to over thirty. Visibility is frequently high, with some sites reporting up to fifty metres in good conditions. The atoll is a protected marine environment with limited human impact, and its species list includes blacktip and silvertip reef sharks, whale sharks, green and ridley turtles, napoleon wrasse, giant moray, harlequin shrimp, and nudibranch.
