Daedalus Reef is a remote atoll in the central Red Sea, reached by liveaboard from Marsa Alam. The single site in our database is a steep wall and drop-off starting shallow and descending to forty metres, dived as a drift in strong and often demanding currents. Visibility is frequently excellent. The reef is suited to advanced divers only. Oceanic whitetip sharks and grey reef sharks are among the species recorded here, alongside napoleon wrasse, giant moray, and great barracuda.
