Ayangue is a sheltered bay on Ecuador's Pacific coast, and its two dive sites, El Pelado and Islote Los Ahorcados, are reached by boat. El Pelado extends to forty metres and includes cave sections, while Islote Los Ahorcados combines reef and wall topography at depths up to thirty metres, making both sites relevant to beginners and intermediate divers. Water temperatures remain relatively consistent year-round, with the lowest readings from August through November. Whale sharks, grey reef sharks, spotted eagle rays, humpback whales, and green sea turtles are all recorded in the region.
