Diving in Soufriere

Soufriere sits at the southwestern tip of Dominica within the Soufriere, Scotts Head Marine Reserve, a protected area of the Caribbean Sea where fishing and anchoring have been restricted since the late nineteen-nineties. The seabed here is shaped by volcanic geology, producing pinnacles, walls, and drop-offs that fall to considerable depth. Nine sites in our database cover a wide spread of dive types, from shallow reef and muck diving to drift dives along steep walls, suiting beginners through to intermediate divers. Green sea turtles, eagle rays, flying gurnards, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, and spotted scorpionfish are all recorded here, alongside nudibranchs and rock beauties on the reef structure.
