Kiama sits on the New South Wales south coast, where a rocky shoreline meets the Pacific Ocean. The one site in our database, Kiama Blowhole, is a shore-entry reef dive incorporating rock walls, small caves, and reef systems at intermediate level. Depths range from shallow to around fifteen metres. Surf and surge are persistent factors, and divers need to account for both when planning entry and exit. Water temperatures are at their lowest in the cooler months and reach the low to mid twenties in late summer. Species recorded include green moray, smooth ray, common Sydney octopus, blue throated wrasse, and humpback whale.
