Anna Bay sits within the Port Stephens region of New South Wales, where the Tasman Sea meets a large drowned-valley estuary. Fishermans Bay, our single site here, is a shore-entry reef suitable for beginners, ranging from shallow to moderate depth. The species list is strong for a single site: spotted wobbegongs, blue-ringed octopus, multiple nudibranch species including Bennett's Hypselodoris and Panther Jorunna, and a variety of wrasses. Water temperatures are mild year-round, warmest in late summer and coolest in winter, supporting the temperate-to-tropical marine diversity the Port Stephens region is known for.
