Francis Canyon (Mouth) is a freshwater dive site featuring underwater canyon walls and rocky crevices. Access is exclusively by boat. Divers should be prepared for challenging conditions, including low visibility that can drop to 3 metres and significant thermoclines. Water temperatures are cold, measuring approximately 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in early April, with marked temperature drops occurring below 12 metres. Due to the cold water, low visibility, and depth, this site is suited for advanced divers. Facilities available at the location include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, and a rinse station. Boat charters and guided tours are available to assist with site access.

Bancos Canyon is a freshwater canyon site located in the United States near Navajo Lake. Accessible only by boat, the site features sandstone formations and reaches depths of up to 30 metres. Divers and snorkellers should be prepared for variable conditions, with visibility typically ranging between 5 and 10 metres. A thermocline exists at approximately 11 metres, where water temperatures drop from the low 80s at the surface to the low 60s. Due to the depth, potential for entanglement, and boat traffic, this site is best suited for intermediate-level divers. Facilities available at the reservoir include parking, toilets, showers, boat charters, guided tours, and a cafe.
