The Bida Islands sit in the Andaman Sea south of the Phi Phi Islands and are reached by day boat from Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, or Phuket. The five sites span reef walls, limestone cave and cavern formations, and open pinnacles, with depths ranging from very shallow to thirty metres. Conditions suit beginners and intermediate divers, with generally mild currents and visibility that can reach thirty metres on a good day. Recorded species include whale sharks, giant moray eels, pharaoh cuttlefish, sea kraits, peacock mantis shrimp, porcupinefish, and nudibranchs. The best conditions broadly align with the Andaman Sea dry season from November to May.
