Penghu is an archipelago in the Taiwan Strait, where coral reef, artificial reef, and drift diving are the main draw. Water temperatures stay warm from late spring through early autumn and cool modestly in winter, remaining comfortable year-round for wetsuit diving. The two sites currently in our database range from very shallow shore entries suitable for beginners to boat-access reef dives with moderate currents that can strengthen without warning. Recorded species include green sea turtles, Napoleon wrasse, zebra bullhead shark, pharaoh cuttlefish, nudibranch, seamoth, and gorgonian, making the reefs rewarding for observant divers at any skill level.
