Marovo Lagoon is the world's largest saltwater lagoon, enclosed by barrier reefs and volcanic islands in the Solomon Islands. Our database currently holds one site here, Nggatirana, a shore-entry reef in the Evis Resort area that is well suited to beginners and snorkellers, with depths reaching fifteen metres and visibility between fifteen and thirty metres. The lagoon's water is warm throughout the year. Access typically involves a domestic flight to Seghe followed by a boat transfer to resort accommodation.
