Meedhoo sits within Addu Atoll in the far south of the Maldives, offering both boat and shore entry across a range of reef, wall, and drop-off sites. The outer reef at Canareef Outside drops from three metres to forty metres, while shallower sites such as Canareef South are accessible to beginners. Villingili Coral Garden slopes gently to thirty metres with visibility regularly reaching thirty-five metres. Species recorded across the area include blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, silvertip sharks, whale sharks, giant moray, bluespotted fantail ray, Napoleon wrasse, painted frogfish, and harlequin shrimp.
