The West Coast of Barbados faces the Caribbean Sea, and its sheltered position gives it the calm, settled conditions that make it the island's main diving destination. Sites in our database span from shallow wreck dives accessible to beginners through to the SS Stavronikita, a large Greek freighter deliberately sunk in Folkestone Marine Park that rests upright at depths reaching over forty metres and demands solid buoyancy control. The Pamir, lying in shallower water, suits newer divers and those building wreck experience. Warm water year-round, reliable visibility, and boat access from operators based around Holetown mean the area works across a wide range of skill levels. Turtles, nurse sharks, moray eels, and octopus are among the species recorded at these sites.
