Port Douglas in Far North Queensland provides boat access to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs. The one site currently in our database, the Fringe Reef, is a very shallow reef dive reaching no more than four metres, rated for intermediate divers because visibility is typically low, often between one and four metres. Conditions are generally sheltered with mild currents, but sharp coral and boat traffic require attention. Species recorded include green sea turtles, sixbanded angelfish, bear paw clams, ram's horn squid, and a variety of crabs and echinoderms.
