West Flower Garden Bank is an offshore reef and artificial reef located 161 kilometres from shore in the Gulf of Mexico. The site features depths ranging from 17 to 39 metres, with an average depth of 27 metres. Divers experience moderate currents and visibility between 10 and 30 metres. Access is strictly by boat, and the site is suitable for intermediate divers. Night diving is available to extend time at depth. Hazards include jellyfish, sharks, and strong currents that can affect buoyancy during ascent. Divers should monitor weather forecasts closely due to the long offshore transit and potential for changing conditions.

East Flower Garden Bank is a remote reef and pinnacle system located 185 kilometres offshore. The site features a reef cap that rises to approximately 18 metres below the surface, with depths ranging from 15 to 40 metres and an average depth of 25 metres. Access is exclusively by boat. Divers should be prepared for moderate currents and visibility that fluctuates between 9 and 38 metres. Water temperatures range from 21C to 28C, though historical coral bleaching events have been recorded. Due to the depth and potential for strong currents, this site is suited for advanced divers. Night diving is available at this location.
