Tapuae Stream Mouth is a reef site located at the southern end of the Tapuae Marine Reserve. The topography consists of boulder reefs, with depths ranging from 2 to 30 metres. Visibility varies up to 12 metres, and water temperatures fluctuate between 14C and 20C throughout the year. Entry is via the shore. Divers should be aware of boat traffic in the area. Species recorded around this area include long-nosed fur seals, crabs, deepwater burrfish, sea stars, bluebottles, and snails.
