Îlots Choizil is a cluster of small islets in northern Mayotte, reached by boat from Mtsamboro. The two sites in our database, Ilots Choizil and Ilot de Sable Blanc du Nord, are shallow reef environments, both sitting within six metres of the surface, and both suited to beginners and snorkellers. Despite the modest depth, the species list is varied and includes napoleon wrasse, bluespotted fantail rays, painted frogfish, harlequin shrimp, and ghost pipefish, making this a productive area for close-range observation.
