A thermocline is present at approximately 6 metres. Shore entry is standard, and the site is suitable for beginners. Hazards include boat traffic, cold water, entanglement risks, and low visibility. Facilities available on-site include parking, toilets, showers, and changing rooms.

King Fisher Ponds is a freshwater shore-entry site located in the Denver Metro Reservoirs. The site features a reef structure at depths ranging from 1 to 10 metres, making it suitable for beginner divers. Divers should be prepared for cold water temperatures and the presence of a thermocline during descent. Visibility typically ranges between 5 and 10 metres but can shift quickly, requiring careful navigation and close buddy contact. Hazards include potential entanglement risks near the reef structure and variable visibility. Parking is available on site, and the average dive duration is approximately 25 minutes.

Aurora Reservoir is a popular freshwater training site featuring a dedicated scuba beach and a roped-off dive area on the eastern shore. The site is notable for a purpose-sunk Cessna 210 wreck, providing a practical environment for navigation and search and recovery training. Divers enter from the shore via a staircase located at the northeastern parking lot. Depths range from 1 to 6 metres, averaging 4 metres. Conditions include a distinct thermocline, with clearer water in the upper layers and murkier conditions below. Hazards include cold water, potential entanglement, and low visibility. Facilities include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, a rinse station, and gear storage.
