Due to the presence of moderate currents, surf, and potential entanglement hazards, this site is suitable for intermediate snorkellers. Access is via the shore, and facilities including parking and a cafe are available nearby. Water temperatures fluctuate seasonally between 8C and 19C.

Vobster Quay is an inland freshwater dive site featuring a variety of wrecks and artificial reefs. The site offers depths ranging from 6m to 36m, with an average depth of 18m, making it suitable for beginner divers and training courses. Entry is via the shore. Visibility fluctuates between 5m and 25m. Divers should be aware of potential hazards including deep water, entanglement risks, low visibility, and thermoclines, as water temperatures can drop significantly with depth and reach as low as 3°C in winter. The site is equipped with parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, a rinse station, air fills, equipment rental, a cafe, and first aid facilities.
