Western Ukraine's diving is based in freshwater lakes near the town of Shatsk. Svityaz Lake and Zadorozhne Lake both offer shore and boat access, with natural and artificial reef structures across moderate depths. Svityaz sits within a national reserve and holds a sharp thermocline below a few metres, so thermal protection matters even when surface temperatures feel warm in summer. Visibility varies between sites and conditions, and the species list includes pike, catfish, tench, carp, perch, and freshwater shrimp. Both sites are rated for beginners.
