The cave features a distinct thermocline and halocline created by a cold freshwater spring emerging from the rock face. Inside, the water is noticeably colder than the surrounding sea. The route involves navigating through salt water into the freshwater section, where it is possible to surface beneath tree roots. The site offers multiple navigable exits, including a smaller secondary opening. Due to the overhead environment and temperature fluctuations, this site is suitable for advanced divers only.

Tersane Island, the largest island in the Gulf of Fethiye, offers a shallow dive and snorkel experience within a sheltered bay.
