Atun is a Japanese freighter wreck located in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea. Sunk in the 1990s, the vessel now functions as an artificial reef, with its structure covered in coral and reef life. Rapopo Wreck is an upright, 30-metre single-engine tugboat resting in 12 to 23 metres of water. Sunk in the 1990s, the vessel features an accessible hold that allows for non-penetration exploration, making it suitable for all skill levels. The structure supports a developing ecosystem of hard and soft corals alongside crinoids. Divers can expect mild currents at this site, which is accessible by both shore and boat. The area is known for its diverse marine life, including various nudibranchs and reef-associated invertebrates. Night diving is available, and the site is supported by local dive shops offering guided tours and first aid facilities.
