Conditions at the site are generally stable, with visibility consistently recorded at 30 metres and moderate currents. Water temperatures remain warm throughout the year, typically between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius. Due to the depth and current conditions, this site is suitable for divers with appropriate training and experience. The site is not suitable for snorkelling.

The Sonsorol Islands are located in the remote south-west of Palau, providing shallow reef diving accessible directly from the shore. The site features a working coral reef environment suitable for beginners. Water temperatures range from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Because this is a remote location, facilities are not guaranteed, and divers must arrive self-sufficient with all necessary equipment and surface support. Currents and visibility are variable and can shift with little warning; it is essential to verify current conditions with local contacts before entering the water.

Fana Island features a wall and drop-off that descends to depths between 30 and 40 metres. Divers can expect consistent visibility of 30 metres. The site is suited for intermediate divers due to the depth and potential for shifting currents. Access is strictly by boat to avoid dangerous surf and shore breaks. Divers should maintain active depth monitoring to manage risks associated with nitrogen narcosis and decompression. When surfacing, remain vigilant for boat traffic and deploy a surface marker buoy early. While mild currents are typical, they can intensify with tidal movement, requiring careful planning with your dive operator.
