Goose Group is a remote island site in Canada featuring extensive kelp forests and reef topography. The area is characterised by cold water temperatures ranging from 7°C to 15°C and visibility typically between 12 and 18 metres. Due to the 15,000-metre distance from shore, boat access is required. Divers and snorkellers should be prepared for strong currents, which are a primary hazard at this location. The site is suitable for intermediate skill levels. The habitat supports a variety of temperate marine life, including various cephalopods, marine mammals, and diverse invertebrates common to the region.

Pruth Bay is a sheltered site on the north side of Calvert Island, offering a calmer environment than the exposed west coast. The topography consists of rocky shorelines and an artificial reef formed by the pilings of the Hakai Institute pier. Divers and snorkellers can explore depths ranging from 1 to 8 metres, with an average of 4 metres. Marine life includes common sightings of sea stars, leather stars, rock crabs, ochre sea stars, and Pacific Lion's Mane jellyfish. Less frequently, divers may encounter harbour seals, Monterey dorids, kelp pipefish, hermissenda, ling cod, and various nudibranch species. The site is suitable for beginners, though cold water and potential entanglement hazards require caution.
