Calypso Cove is a sheltered freshwater site located on the south side of Lake Thunderbird. The site features a rocky shoreline and various submerged structures, providing a shallow environment for exploration. Depths typically range from 1 to 5 metres, with an average of 3 metres. Access is available from both the shore and by boat, with the site situated approximately 20 metres from the shore. Conditions include mild currents and visibility ranging from 1 to 4 metres. Water temperatures fluctuate significantly, reaching up to 30°C in summer and dropping to 4°C in winter. Divers and snorkellers should be aware of boat traffic and low visibility.

Clear Bay Point is a freshwater shoreline entry point located near the campground in the Clear Bay recreation area. The site features a shallow sandy bottom suitable for basic exploration. Conditions at this location are variable, and the water is often murky. Snorkellers should be aware of potential boat traffic in the area and the presence of deep water. Facilities available at the site include parking, toilets, showers, and changing rooms. This location is suitable for beginners, though it is rated as a 1/5 for snorkelling quality.
