Best for beginner divers, shore & boat entry, mild current.
Lakeside Lodge Marina Protected Cove is a freshwater snorkel site located in the United States near Fremont Lake. This sheltered area near the marina docks provides protection from frequent afternoon winds and offers relatively shallow water. The site features an artificial reef composed of sunken trees, which are often covered in lost fishing lures. Entry is possible from both the shore and by boat. Due to the high-altitude location, water temperatures are very cold, ranging from 4°C to 21°C depending on the season and depth. Divers and snorkellers should be aware of boat traffic, cold water risks, and potential entanglement hazards. Exposure protection is strongly recommended.
