This shore dive is suitable for beginners, with depths ranging from 4 to 8 metres and an average of 6 metres. Divers should be aware of hazards including boat traffic, strong currents, surge, and low visibility. The site is accessible via a sandy beach entry. Facilities available nearby include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, and a rinse station. Note that these pipes discharge after heavy rainfall.

Heading out on the western pipe and returning on the eastern pipe makes it easier to find the rope to the nearby reef.
The pipes are a 100m walk from the car park. Enter the water from the sand on either side of the breakwater, not by walking along the top of it.
