Laguna Colgada is a freshwater lagoon complex fed by springs, waterfalls, and underground water sources. The site features banks lined with reeds and low scrub, providing multiple shore entry points. Underwater, the topography is characterised by a sandy bottom composed of heavy mud. Divers can explore depths ranging from the surface down to 40 metres. Conditions at the site include mild currents and visibility typically varying between 5 and 15 metres. Water temperatures remain approximately 15 to 16 degrees centigrade due to the influence of filtered aquifer water. On-site facilities include parking and a cafe.
