Novosibirsk's dive sites are freshwater lakes within reach of the city, served by a well-established local diving community and more than ten operators based in the city. The three sites in Fin's database, Oazis, Konopelka, and Zaboy, are shallow, with depths topping out in the low to mid-teens of metres, and all are entered from shore. Reef structures, including artificial reefs, provide the main interest, and species include pike, perch, sturgeon, carp, and burbot. Water is cold year-round, so a drysuit or thick wetsuit is essential, and visibility varies. The sites are graded for beginners, making the area a practical training and local diving destination rather than a technical one.
