Listvyanka's dive sites are built around freshwater walls, drop-offs, canyons and reefs in Lake Baikal. Most sites suit beginners, with shore entries at several locations making the area accessible without a boat. More demanding walls and vertical drop-offs are available for intermediate and advanced divers seeking serious depth. Visibility across the sites can be exceptional. Observed species include Bullhead and Pike Perch, with Burbot and Freshwater Shrimp among the frequently listed residents.

Listvyanka's sites are freshwater, so the species are lake-specific rather than marine. Bullhead and Pike Perch have been directly observed by divers. Burbot and Freshwater Shrimp are frequently listed across many of the sites, and Trout and Carp also appear in records for the area.
Many of the sites here are rated for beginners, including the main Listvyanka shore site and Back River Reef. Baranchiki and Stout Foreland also welcome beginners and offer varied topography including reef, wall and wreck features. More experienced divers can progress to intermediate and advanced sites such as Varnachka, Sennaya pad and Sobolev Foreland.
Several sites are accessible directly from the shore, including the main Listvyanka site, Back River Reef and Srednya pad. Baranchiki and Stout Foreland offer both shore and boat entry. Boat-only sites include Crescent, Varnachka, Sobolev Foreland, Sennaya pad and Gull Cliff.
The area has a strong focus on wall diving, with walls featuring at the majority of sites. Several sites combine walls with canyons, drop-offs or reef structures, and Baranchiki adds a wreck that serves as an artificial reef. Drift diving is possible at Back River Reef and Gull Cliff.
