Jardin des pirates is a reef site located within the Saint-Gilles Marine Reserve, offering depths between 15 and 28 metres. Other species recorded at the site include the snowflake moray, bird wrasse, Guineafowl puffer, palenose parrotfish, Valentini pufferfish, vagabond butterflyfish, rock cod, lagoon triggerfish, masked bannerfish, yellow boxfish, and elongate clam. Visibility can be variable, so it is recommended to check current conditions with your dive operator before departure.

Lagon De Saint-Leu is a shallow reef site located within the Saint-Gilles Marine Reserve. Reaching depths of up to 2 metres, the area features a coral garden that provides a habitat for various marine life. Snorkellers can expect to see wrasses, which are very common, alongside common species such as the Melon Butterflyfish. Less frequently encountered inhabitants include the Snowflake Moray, Guineafowl Puffer, Blackspotted Pufferfish, Raccoon Butterflyfish, Chevron Butterflyfish, Zanzibar Butterflyfish, Spotted Boxfish, Unicornfish, Rock Cod, Pacific Trumpetfish, and various other pufferfish. Access is via the shore, and the site is suitable for beginners due to the mild currents and shallow, protected nature of the reef.
