Visibility can be variable, so it is recommended to check current conditions with your dive operator before departure.

Lagon De Saint-Leu is a shallow reef site located within the Saint-Gilles Marine Reserve. Reaching depths of up to 2 metres, the area features a coral garden that provides a habitat for various marine life. Snorkellers can expect to see wrasses, which are very common, alongside common species such as the Melon Butterflyfish. Less frequently encountered inhabitants include the Snowflake Moray, Guineafowl Puffer, Blackspotted Pufferfish, Raccoon Butterflyfish, Chevron Butterflyfish, Zanzibar Butterflyfish, Spotted Boxfish, Unicornfish, Rock Cod, Pacific Trumpetfish, and various other pufferfish. Access is via the shore, and the site is suitable for beginners due to the mild currents and shallow, protected nature of the reef.

Access is by boat only. Due to active boat traffic in the area, divers should remain close to their guide and use a surface marker buoy. Maison verte is a reef and drift dive site located within the Saint-Gilles Marine Reserve. The seabed is characterised by coral formations including spherical, table, and shrub-like structures. Access to this site is by boat, situated 2500 metres from the shore. Divers can expect mild currents and visibility ranging from 10 to 30 metres. With water temperatures between 24 and 28C, this site is suitable for beginners and typically offers 50-minute dives.
