Pania Reef is a large submerged reef system situated 2000 metres offshore from Napier on the North Island of New Zealand. This site features a complex topography of reefs, caves, and drop-offs. Divers should be prepared for depths reaching 14 metres and variable conditions, including strong currents and low visibility. Due to the distance from the coast, boat access is required to reach the site. The water temperature fluctuates between 13C and 20C throughout the year. Given the presence of strong currents, boat traffic, and deep sections, this site is recommended for advanced divers. Snorkellers may also visit the reef, which is rated 4 out of 5 for the activity.

Waipātiki Beach on the East Coast of New Zealand features rocky outcrops at its northern end that provide shelter for marine life. Conditions vary, with moderate currents and potential for surge and surf. Visibility is generally improved during periods of offshore winds and low swell. Facilities at the beach include parking and toilets. Due to the nature of the terrain, be aware of sharp reef structures and changing water conditions.
