This site offers a relatively shallow and protected environment, making it suitable for beginner snorkellers. The topography features rocky reefs on either side of the bay, providing a sheltered area for exploration. Water temperatures fluctuate throughout the year, ranging from 10C in winter to 19C in August. Access to the water is via the shore. Species recorded around this area include various crabs, sea stars, brittle stars, shrimp, wrasses, sea slugs, flatworms, and occasional sightings of cuttlefish and jellyfish.
