The SS Moltke is a historic wreck and artificial reef located 100 metres from the shore of Magnetic Island. Resting at depths between 2 and 10 metres, this site is suitable for beginners and offers visibility ranging from 10 to 40 metres. Divers and snorkellers frequently encounter common species such as Bluespotted Fantail Rays, Coral Trout, wrasses, Copperband Butterflyfish, Sixbanded Angelfish, Lined Butterflyfish, and Rock Cod. Uncommon sightings include Mangrove Whiprays, Blacktip Reef Sharks, Epaulette Sharks, Giant Guitarfish, and Bluespine Unicornfish. Nudibranchs like the Triple-striped Split-tooth Dorid and Tryon's Hypselodoris are also very common. Exercise caution regarding low visibility and avoid stirring up silt when moving around the structure.

Alma Bay on Magnetic Island is a sheltered shore entry site suitable for beginners. Reaching depths of 1 to 10 metres, the area features a mix of reef and artificial reef structures. Divers and snorkellers encounter common species including Bluespotted Fantail Rays, Coral Trout, wrasses, and various nudibranchs such as the Triple-striped Split-tooth Dorid. Epaulette Sharks, Giant Guitarfish, and Blacktip Reef Sharks are also recorded. The site experiences mild currents and visibility between 3 and 8 metres. Facilities at the bay include parking, toilets, showers, and a nearby dive shop. Stinger suits are strongly recommended between November and May due to the presence of dangerous jellyfish.

The Platypus is a shallow wreck and reef site located off Magnetic Island, Australia. With depths ranging from 3 to 8 metres, it offers a forgiving environment for beginner divers. Boulders is a shallow reef site located off Magnetic Island, Queensland. The topography consists of large boulders creating a complex reef structure, with depths ranging from 2 to 10 metres and an average of 6 metres. Access is by boat only. Conditions are generally sheltered with mild currents, though visibility varies between 1 and 8 metres. The site is suitable for beginners and supports night diving. Divers should be aware of sharp coral and the presence of Irukandji and Box Jellyfish during stinger season from November to May, when full-body stinger suits are recommended.
