Divers should be prepared for cold water temperatures, which can drop to 3°C in winter, and ensure they have appropriate thermal protection. Hazards include cold water, significant depth changes, and potential entanglement risks from submerged debris. Toilets are available at the site. Divers should monitor their depth closely and remain aware of their surroundings throughout the dive.

Blue Hole Quarry is a historic limestone site featuring steep rock walls and blue-green water. Snorkellers can explore along the rocky ledges, though conditions vary significantly. Water temperatures typically hover around 10°C, reaching mid-18°C during summer months, with visibility ranging from 5 to 20 metres. Visibility often decreases during warmer periods. Access is via the shore, and the site includes facilities such as parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, and air fills. Due to the deep nature of the quarry and cold water temperatures, this site is best suited for intermediate-level snorkellers.
