Denton's Point is a prominent feature on the southern shore of Georgetown Lake, offering a mix of sandy and grassy entries for snorkellers. The underwater topography here features a slightly faster drop-off compared to surrounding areas, reaching depths between 1 and 6 metres. Conditions are generally suitable for intermediate snorkellers, though visitors should be aware of mild currents, cold water temperatures, and potential boat traffic. The site is well-equipped with parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, and a cafe. Typical snorkel sessions last around 45 minutes. Due to the variable water temperatures, which can be as low as 3°C in April, appropriate thermal protection is recommended.
