The site provides access to deeper water, making it suitable for intermediate divers. Entry is possible from both shore and boat. Water temperatures in Cascade Reservoir vary significantly, ranging from approximately 36 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit in early April to about 65 degrees Fahrenheit by late June. Current conditions are generally mild. Facilities available at the site include parking, toilets, and showers. The area is well-suited for those interested in exploring transition zones within the reservoir.

Crown Point Hidden Coves offers a freshwater diving experience within the Boise Foothills Reservoirs. Accessible via the Crown Point Trail, the site features rocky coves and an underwater terrain dominated by large boulders. Divers can expect depths ranging from 3 to 15 metres, with an average depth of 8 metres. Visibility varies between 3 and 10 metres. Water temperatures fluctuate significantly, ranging from 5°C in colder periods, which necessitates drysuit use, to 15-24°C during the summer months. Due to the potential for cold water and low visibility, this site is best suited for intermediate divers.
