Goat Island is a freshwater reef dive accessible only by boat. The site features a reef structure that reaches depths of up to 12 metres. Divers encounter mild currents, making the location suitable for those with an open water certification. Due to the nature of the reef, there is a risk of entanglement in submerged debris, so divers should keep gear tucked close and monitor buoyancy carefully. Visibility at the site can shift considerably between dives, so it is recommended to check local conditions before entering the water. This site offers a manageable environment for newer divers while requiring awareness of the surrounding underwater structure.

Greers Ferry Lake is a large freshwater site covering over 30,000 acres, offering diverse topography including artificial reefs, wrecks, walls, and drop-offs. Depths range from 4 to 60 metres, with an average of 18 metres. Divers should be aware of a heavy thermocline and variable visibility ranging from 1 metre upwards. Water temperatures fluctuate significantly, reaching 24-28°C in summer and 4-13°C in winter. Entry is possible from both shore and boat. Hazards include boat traffic, potential entanglement, and overhead environments. On-site facilities include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, rinse stations, air fills, boat charters, and guided tours.
