Divers can encounter various species including wrasses, which are very common, alongside uncommon sightings of Emperor Angelfish, Blackcheek Moray, Ribbon Eel, Indian Lionfish, Starry Moray, Spotfin Lionfish, Leaf Scorpionfish, False Puffer, Spotted Boxfish, Groupers, and Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse. Zebra Moray and Longnose Hawkfish are rarely recorded. Be aware of sharp coral when navigating the reef crevices. Conditions include moderate currents and visibility between 10 and 25 metres.

The site supports night diving and typical dive times are approximately 50 minutes. Hazards at this location include boat traffic, sharks, and strong currents. Simon's Cave is a reef and pinnacle site located off the 2 Mile Reef in the Sodwana Reefs. The site features a 5m swim-through and is characterised by its shoreward-facing topography. Visibility is variable, ranging from 3m to 16m. Access to this site is by boat only, located approximately 3200m from the shore. Coral Gardens is a reef site located on 2 Mile Reef, approximately 2000 metres from the shore. This site features an abundance of staghorn, plate, and table corals, including a section known as Kaleidoscope Alley. Divers and snorkellers can encounter Emperor Angelfish, Potato Bass, Laced Moray, and various nudibranchs. Other species recorded here include Queensland Grouper, Giant Frogfish, Robust Ghost Pipefish, and Bluespotted Fantail Ray. The site has an average depth of 10 metres, ranging between 8 and 15 metres. Access is by boat only, and conditions include moderate currents and visibility between 10 and 20 metres. Hazards include boat traffic, sharp coral, and strong currents.
