Pasoso Island, located near Donggala, Indonesia, features a massive reef system surrounding the island. This site is a dedicated turtle conservation area, offering pristine coral cover and a remote environment largely untouched by tourism. Snorkelling here is rated highly, though access requires a boat. The water temperature remains consistent throughout the year, ranging between 29C and 30C. The habitat supports a variety of reef fish and invertebrates typical of the region. Due to the nature of the reef environment and the requirement for boat access, this site is best suited for intermediate-level snorkellers.
