Conditions vary, with visibility ranging from 6 to 24 metres and currents generally mild, though surge and strong currents can occur. Water temperatures typically range from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius, though cold thermoclines can cause temperatures to drop to 16 degrees Celsius. Access is by boat only. Hazards include boat traffic, surge, and sharp coral.

Roca Sucia is a pinnacle and reef site located 8000m from the shore of Playas del Coco. This site is suited for intermediate divers due to strong currents and depths ranging from 8m to 35m, with an average of 21m. Divers frequently encounter whitetip reef sharks, king angelfish, panamic green moray, rock cod, wrasses, groupers, and razor surgeonfish. Spotted eagle rays, jewel moray, arrow crab, guineafowl puffer, threebanded butterflyfish, white-spotted puffer, and porcupinefish are also recorded here. Visibility varies significantly from 2m to 30m, and a cold thermocline is occasionally present. Boat access is required for this 50-minute dive, which also offers high-quality snorkelling opportunities at the shallow sections of the rock.
